Free Spring Banner Tutorial

Hi Friends! Spring is quickly approaching especially here in CA. No matter where you are or what the weather is, I want to help bring in some cheery spring decor.

Chances are, you already have everything that you need to make this banner. But if you don’t, you can find everything you need at your local dollar store. So this will either be completely free or just a few dollars. (I have a dollar tree, but I know they are called different things all over the country, or world)

Here is what the Bloom Banner will look like when you are done. (Don’t worry I will have another tutorial for the floral garland too!)

If you are not a crafty DIYer you can also purchase this banner made by me in my Easy shop Shop Banner

If you love the greenery Swag above the arch, click the link below. This exact one is the small size with faux greenery. You can also shop the large real Eucalyptus garland too, it is the large size.

  1. I actually used book pages for my paper. You could use card stock, or printer paper too. I even thought about using the actual written on pages, like I did with my heart garland here So feel free to use whatever your heart desires. I will make a second banner to show you too. And here you can see my twine roll. So you will need some of that. Don’t mind all the greens haha I was making multiple crafts at once.

2. Cut your paper into equal size rectangles. Then I put all papers together and cut the ends into an angle.

3. I chose the word BLOOM. But you could choose your favorite Spring Saying. I used a Green Marker, but you could use any Marker or Pen Available.

4. I wanted to add flowers and leaves to my letters for a greater Spring look.

5. Once you have your letters spelled out the way you want them, you just pin them with clothes pins to your twine.

And ta-da there it is. Hope you found it simple enough. I would love to see your versions too. Post them on Instagram and tag me @fancyfixdecor so I can see them.
