Painting Little Tikes

So my son loves slides and climbing. I wanted to get him a plastic playset that he could use inside or outside. But, can someone please tell me why they are all so colorful and ugly. I mean, I get it, primary colors are great for kids, but they clash with any decor. My love of Rustoleum spray paint came in handy again.

I got this Little Tikes play set for $20 on Offer Up. If you don’t know what it is, it’s like craigslist. I use Craigslist, Offer Up, Let go, for cheap stuff. These slide structures are expensive and I don’t believe in paying good money for something that I am going to have to paint and re-do. I do pay good money for good quality furniture, but we’ll talk about that another day.

So here it is in all its Glory. Look Familiar?

Well I used my favorite color Heirloom White and added some Midnight Blue, for a little color for my son. If I had a girl I’m sure I would have used pink.

Ta-Da! Here is my son playing on his new slide. It’s nice and neutral, and not an eye sore.

(This picture was in our rental, while we were waiting to move into our house. I’ll post a better picture of it in his new room.)
